SCOPE Forum Coordinator
- Environment Forum Coordinator
- Engineering & Applied Sciences Forum Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify topics and develop programming schedules
- Identify and recruit experts to participate in events
- Develop materials to promote Forum events
- Conduct post-event evaluations
- Work with Grants Director to secure funding for events (e.g. – speaker honoraria, funding for in-person programs)
Skills & Experience You Will Gain: idea generation and programming design, project/event management, communication, marketing/promo, budget management
Expected Commitment: Minimum THREE forum events per year; attending monthly SCOPE leadership Zoom (1 hour/month)
These positions’ terms will initially extend through mid-May 2026, with the option to remain for a one-year term (May 2026 to May 2027).
Science Communication Skills Building Coordinator
SCOPE Skills Building Coordinators create opportunities for skills development tailored to their career path theme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify career-relevant skills and design programming, including inviting guest speakers to provide training.
- Monitor the landscape of existing training opportunities to identify gaps and share relevant resources with members.
- Develop materials to promote Skills Building events.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to measure impact and gather feedback.
- Collaborate with the Grants Director to secure funding for events.
Skills & Experience You Will Gain: idea generation and programming design, project/event management, communication, marketing/promo, budget management, community building
Expected Commitment: Minimum TWO events per year; attending monthly SCOPE leadership Zoom (1 hour/month)
